"Discover your blind spots"

Connie, Canada

Coaching helped me discover the blind spots, keep taking steps forward, try new activities and hobbies. be open to meeting new people, watch for my own self-limiting beliefs, take action with my ideas.

Sharon has exceptional listening skills – she is able to listen deeply with empathy. She made me feel comfortable enough to open up about my issues. She was sympathetic yet nudged me to do exercises that made me get clarity. By completing the exercises that she suggested, I began to gradually glimpse at new goals.  Working with Sharon helped me as I stepped out into the unknown, to explore using my gifts and talents.

I had been stuck for a while. I looked at my values and realised that I really valued excellence and when I didn’t do a task to the best of my ability, I felt demotivated. However, I learned to work differently, to set myself smaller tasks and do them with excellence. This led to me to taking pride in my work.

If you are willing to do the homework, you will benefit from coaching.  Not all the breakthroughs happen immediately, for this reason, I would suggest that people dedicate themselves to at least 12 weeks of coaching.

"Enriching experience"

Bev, London

Having had life coaching I would highly recommend it to others contemplating it. I embarked on the 12 week program with a focus on career direction and time management.

The core benefits were a fixed time and space to think about myself, being challenged, focusing on the positives and a time to reflect. The homework was a good discipline to get into for me.

Sharon’s coaching style is a mixture of directive and non-directive with a nice balance between encouragement and the challenging.

I think life coaching can be particularly useful when approaching or in transition. It is a useful space to consider yourself and your direction of travel.

I will now step forward and hold onto the positives and both rethink and relax the expectation I put on myself and others.

I found life coaching to be a really positive experience that supported me in making key decisions about my next steps in terms of my career and further training and development.

"Gain clarity and stay accountable."

Nikul, London

My main concern was would coaching “work” and I can definitely say having been coached by Sharon that this was a myth in my mind!

Whilst listening, reading, watching to all things related to personal development were useful sources of inspiration, what was lacking was accountability to put a plan together and be held accountable to take the necessary steps to actioning the plan.

Uninterrupted 1 hour of attention focused on my challenges and my life. In this day and age, it is very rare to have someone focus on your challenges and really pay attention! I found this incredibly useful being led by powerful questions which made me do the thinking

Sharon’s style of coaching is “firm yet gentle”.  Sharon controls the session through clarifying at the outset what I want to get out of the session and asks questions which lead me to my own answers.  Sharon has strong awareness and knows when to prove further to dig to the roots of an issues.

When faced with a problem, I will think “What would Sharon say?”! But seriously, I will look at things from other people’s perspectives first.

Coaching would benefit people who would like to clarify their direction in life and even people who want to double check that they are living a life that they want to live or are proud of living.  The realisation that their most important asset is themselves and see the worth in having someone’s expertise and skills in coaching as well as undivided attention to help them gain clarity and stay accountable.

This will benefit those ONLY if you have a desire to make changes in your life as well as make time to do the homework in between sessions.  Being held accountable throughout.
