Refresh Your Perspective

My Story

Like you, I have lived a life packed with experiences. My vocational career has spanned over 25 years across various sectors. From singer to service manager, project manager to professional photographer, multinational corporates to community causes.

My direction of travel wavered from the expected. A health struggle emerged on the road to having children. When my new arrival finally came, I was ill equipped for what lay ahead. As I brought my first boy home, I took the unknown path to more love, more despair and more growth. I’m still working this journey, but now with a little more clarity, and a lot more perseverance and patience! Almost overnight, I felt my vocational identity disappeared, and a new identity as a mum was hard to fathom.

The challenge? It felt like groundhog day.  It was time for a change in order to find my true identity with kids.  What initially emerged was a joyous creative comeback. I volunteered as a charity music director and became a wedding photographer. To my surprise my corporate career provided strong foundations for my creative career.  Building, growing and nurturing teams successfully from the ground up. One thing I did uncover was your brain still functions brilliantly after childbirth!

Despite the successes, I was still restless about the loss of my vocational career.  I turned my hand to a local public sector role in an attempt to work more flexibly with family life. I learnt that community was where I needed to be, but this role hadn’t encompassed the impact I had sought.

I stepped back, took the time to reflect and collect my thoughts.  What emerged for me was that my identity was not socially defined but divinely grounded.  I was re-inspired to carve out something new, a clean slate, with the courage to say ‘no’ to things I might be expected to do, in order to say ‘yes’.  It was that fresh perspective, seeing things through a different lens.  I realised you don’t have to accept your situation, your options may simply not be that obvious just yet.

I embarked on a journey of being coached and gifted myself an opportunity to gain and explore undiscovered insights. From perceived limitations to profound freedom. With my spiritual anchor firmly in place, I relied on my coach for accountability, support and encouragement. I took the time to find the real me in the now.

What am I passionate about? Seeing individuals thrive and sharing in those lightbulb moments. True and real connection. Living life with purpose.

I help people who want to get themselves unstuck, who want to grow in confidence, reclaim the joy in their day to day and take those necessary steps to moving positively forward.
